Photographer Slim Aarons had incredible access to everyone who mattered. 

From the end of World War II through to the 1980s, Aarons photographed the rich and famous, the beautiful and the celebrated: Hollywood royalty, European aristocracy, the grande dames of high society, captains of industry, media moguls, statesmen and stars of every sort.

These were the days before publicists, managers and hangers on tried to restrict time with the rich and famous, sanitizing the whole process. Meanwhile Slim Aarons saw himself as a photo journalist, charged with informing and recording the lives of the privileged.
